Dress Code
We believe that it is important to keep all attire modest and appropriate. This allows the dancer to move freely while in class without being concerned with their attire and helps to keep our environment family friendly. Proper attire also allows the instructor to visually evaluate the muscle placement and body alignment, which in turn leads to healthier and safer dancing. Please find the guidelines for BOTH classes and performances in the corresponding areas for attire and shoes below.
ATTIRE & DANCE SHOES
for all PROGRAMS & CLASSES
– For Adult Classes, please see our “Adult Class” page for more casual options –
Please note the following specific requirements for attire and shoes for classes, as well as the specific requirements for performances. Also see below this for additional warm-ups, accessories, etc that are allowed or not allowed.
To help keep our environment family-friendly and for character/costume requirements, any visible tattoos are at the evaluation of the Director.
We have partnered with Discount Dance, a company we began purchasing from twenty years ago, to provide our own studio attire link on their site. It has many helpful suggestions for the attire listed below by the class level at each tab at the link. We get points to use towards costumes with every purchase you make, so thank you! We’ve included additional items on each class tab in case you’d like to buy extra items such as class warm up attire and gifts. Please double check the “checkout page” before submitting your orders to see that our Teacher ID stayed with your items so we get the points credit thank you!!
